DESCRIPTION:

Here's a peep through a gap in the rocks at the pier which has been featured in the two previous posts. I have converted this one to black and white - I don't know whether I love or hate the color caste produced by the filters in those other shots. I played with the sharpen and blur brushes as well as shadows / highlights adjust and levels. There is also some vignette.

The large rocks were placed here to stop four wheel drive vehicles from getting onto the beach but I see new tracks have now been forged around them thus circumventing the councils restriction.

This might be a large image for some screens - you might need to hit F11 to see it all.

• Beautiful! I’m a bit skeptic to the halos around the rocks. Perhaps a bit too much Shadow/Highlight for my taste. But overall this works very well in composition, light and contrast.
