Curios, Antiques and Bric-A-Brac

Just take a look at all these interesting old things in this shop at Rozelle in Sydney's inner suburbs. What a variety of wonders. Wouldn't you just love to explore inside here and examine some of the items that have been collected by this proprietor.

I notice though, that there is a bit of anachronism evident here in as much as some objects, such as the plastic crates, look out of place among those which are from times gone by.

I don't know about you but my favorite thing would be the old wireless set in the large wooden cabinet near the left of the picture. These devices must have been a source of a wondrous experience for people when first they heard voices and music transmitted without wires into their lounge rooms all those decades ago.

I don't think I should return to this location; I might give into temptation and come home with far too many curious bits and pieces to further clutter my abode.
